The State of Qatar is expected to become the world’s leading supplier of liquefied natural gas by exporting 42 million tons per year.
The new airport will boast a capacity of 12 million passengers per year that will cement Qatar’s position as a key aviation hub in the Middle East. The first phase of construction has been launched and the total cost is estimated at US$ 2 billion. The Ministry of Interior will shoulder full responsibility for the security and safety of the site.
Other major construction projects are under way in the country such as towers, highways, industrial plants, shopping malls and many other modern facilities like sports facilities and educational cities.
The State of Qatar has become one of the major destinations in the Middle East for tourism and hosts many regional and international conferences.
